Trenchless Excavation

trenchless excacation

Bell Excavation/Bill Wolfe has state-of-the-art trenchless excavation capabilities.

Every day, road construction causes thousands of miles of roads to be blocked, wastes millions of gallons of fuel, pollutes the air, causes accidents, damages buildings, and causes delays for travelers. The time, fuel, and damage that trenching generates are significantly reduced with trenchless excavation.

Trenchless excavation allows for the installation of new pipes without closing streets or sidewalks, minimizing traffic jams and sparing local governments from having to reconstruct infrastructure atop utility lines.

An economical and environmentally friendly alternative is pipe bursting.

By using pipe bursting, damaged pipelines can be affordably repaired. The most popular trenchless pipe replacement technique, pipe bursting, has been utilized to restore about 31,000 kilometers of pipes globally. This approach allows for the replacement of damaged pipelines along the same path without significantly altering the soil or groundwater.

When is it necessary to replace?

In general, it must be determined whether a pipe has to be repaired, renovated, or renewed (replaced).

When repair or renovation is technically or financially unfeasible; when a larger pipe diameter is required to increase hydraulic capacity; when repair or renovation only provides a temporary fix, making a pipe replacement inevitable; when a request is made for a long-lasting pipe durability and/or a higher product life span; and when the static loading capacity of the defective pipe would otherwise be negative; it is necessary to replace the pipe.

Always Considering Safety Safety and loss prevention are the two aspects of our business that are most crucial. We think that staff illnesses, property damage, and equipment breakdowns lead to avoidable waste and loss. Bell Excavation/Bill Wolfe executes all activities safely as a result, helping to reduce the risk of illness and injury to personnel and property.
